Setter Closet brings together several brands including Haptic, Urban Plastix and Kilter/Kilter Grips under one name.
Setter Closet collectively offers over 10,000 climbing holdsin a wide range of shapes, types, and sizes, suitable for gyms, home walls, and competitions. Collaboration is central to the brand, with holds crafted by a diverse group of shapers, from the legendary Ian Powell to pro climber Jimmy Webb.
Their flagship brand, Kilter, is an IFSC‑authorized hold producer, with products featured at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and on the world’s biggest competition stages. Most recently, Kilter sponsored and supplied the holds for the inaugural Pro Climbing League, hosted by Magazine London.
The Kilter Board is a world-class, multi‑award‑winning articulated LED training wall and companion app. The Kilter app connects users to a constantly growing global database of over 200000 climbs for all levels, from beginner to elite.
The Kilter Board is available in either the Original or the Full Ride. The Original comes in four sizes (16×12, 12×12, 8×12 and 7×10) and is most appropriate for commercial gyms where it’ll be used by climbers of all abilities. The Full Ride (Homewall Layout) also comes in four sizes (10×12, 8×12, 10×10 and 7’x10’) and is best for smaller spaces or as more a ‘fingery’ compliment to the Original. All of the Kilter Board layouts are compatable with Friction Wall’s frames.

Friction Walls was born from from Tjelmeland Friksjon, one of Norway’s leading climbing wall builders. Drawing on years of experience designing and constructing commercial climbing facilities, the company now focuses on developing innovative articulated climbing walls and training boards for both the commercial and home market.
Most recently, Friction Walls supplied the walls for the debut Pro Climbing League, hosted by Magazine London. The success of the event demonstrated the potential for a new era of competition climbing, one in which world class events are no longer tied to existing climbing gyms, but can instead be staged in arenas, event venues and urban spaces. We believe that the innovative team at Friction Walls will be at the forefront of this exciting new direction for the sport.
Core Climbing provides expert sales, installation, and support for Friction Walls across the UK. We are unquely positioned to offer a full‑service package, including the matting, board, holds and light sets should you choose one of the Kilter board layouts. Recent installations include Depot Leeds Armley, Eden Rock Edinburgh, and our own Core Climbing factory in Sheffield.
Friction Walls boards can be floor or wall mounted and are compatible with Kilter, Tension, and Moon systems. They can also be used as a classic home board or spray wall and are available in widths of 8, 10, 12, or 16 feet, with either an untreated plywood or black painted finish. Contact us today to discuss your project.

We are excited to partner with the Danish company Lumo at the start of their journey, providing exclusive sales, installation, and distribution in the UK.
Lumo make interactive modular wall panels with built in LED light strips that can be selectively illuminated using their bespoke app. This makes setting, following, and logging problems fast, simple, and intuitive.
The Lumo system offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing the user to choose wall, angle and holds. This versatility allows for the creation of anything from a spray wall in a commercial gym to an old-school Sheffield ‘woody’.
The Lumo App allows the user to create lists, share problems and log ascents. This increases engagement and allows users to easily track their training.

Lumo’s panels can be mounted on a Friction Walls frame, just like we’ve done at our Sheffield factory. Click the green button to get in touch or give us a call and start planning your project today.

MBS Industry is a French company dedicated to making climbing more accessible, inclusive, and safe. Founded by the Mawem brothers, both professional climbers and Olympians, together with engineer Sébastien Kuehn, MBS combines decades of climbing experience with strong technical experties to address challenges the climbing industry has overlooked for too long.
The company’s flagship product, the CAMI (Climbing Assistance Motorised Interface), is a motorised auto-belay capable of supporting 20 to 100 percent of a user’s body weight. This allows climbers with impaired mobility to enjoy the experience of climbing independently and safely, opening up new opportunities for participation and inclusion. To see the CAMI in action, click the green button below.
The BASS (Base Automatic Security System) provides audio and visual alerts to both climbers and wall staff if someone begins climbing without being attached to an auto-belay. This helps climbing walls to enhance safety and reduce preventable accidents. To see how the BASS works, click the green button below.
The CHAS is the worlds’s first patented climbing harness developed for autonomous use by wheelchair users. When combined with the Spreader Bar, it keeps the user vertical, supporting the spine and pelivis whilst preventing pressure sores. The CHAS harness can be worn while standing, but it can also be put on without lifting the legs or standing, reducing the need for caregiver assistance. This provides an authentic climbing experience and greater autonomy for the user. Click the button below to see how it works.
We are proud to be the exclusive UK distribution partner for MBS Industry. Their work in making climbing more accessible and inclusive is truly groundbreaking, and seeing their products in action was an emotional reminder of how life-changing climbing can be.
