Designing and manufacturing climbing products of the highest quality in Sheffield, UK for over 15 years. Just 3 mates, with a passion for climbing, doing what we love and trying to do it as well as we can for everyone to enjoy.
Core Climbing Ltd was founded in 2008 by Leo Moger, Stephen Royle and Tim Marsh. In founding Core, we were motivated by a desire to translate the look and feel of real rock into holds for training boards, home walls and commercial climbing centres.
In 2012 we expanded our offering to include bespoke matting for commercial bouldering walls. This side of our business has gone from strength to strength, and we are now one of the leading producers of commercial matting in Europe.
In 2022, we launched a new range of outdoor crash pads. EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE. We wanted to create a system that we wanted to use.

Sheffield, the spiritual home of UK climbing. When we founded Core Climbing we committed to designing and manufacturing all of our products in Sheffield. It’s a city we love and to which we owe a lot. Our commitment is a way of giving back. We actively employ from the Sheffield area and we are actively engaged in the local climbing scene. Once people join the Core family they tend to stick about! Of course, we still head out into the Peaks whenever there’s a spare moment.
